Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 7th, 2024
Welcome to Watt Chargers Ltd. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our website located at wattchargers.co.uk and our EV charger installation and maintenance services ("Service"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
Watt Chargers Ltd specializes in EV charger installation and maintenance. All services, including product recommendations, installation, and ongoing maintenance, are provided in accordance with these Terms and any specific agreements entered into.
Maintenance services may include but are not limited to routine inspections, diagnostics, software updates, repairs, and part replacements. These services may be offered on a one-time or contract basis.
2. Liability
Watt Chargers Ltd is not responsible for issues related to customers’ back-office accounts or EV car applications, including configuration errors or connectivity problems.
We are only responsible for the physical installation of the EV chargers and any maintenance services explicitly provided or contracted by Watt Chargers Ltd. We are not liable for faults arising from third-party hardware, misuse, or external environmental conditions.
3. Purchases and Payment
When purchasing services, you may be required to provide personal information such as your name, email, and address. All purchases are processed via secure payment gateways.
Customers must pay the final invoice upon completion of installation or agreed maintenance work. If payment is not made by the due date, a £50 delay charge will apply every 7 days. If payment is overdue by more than 14 days, access to charging facilities or maintenance support may be revoked until full payment is received.
For ongoing maintenance contracts, payment terms will be outlined in the contract agreement and must be adhered to in order to maintain continuity of service.
4. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds: Once the EV charger or associated electrical work has been installed and commissioned, refunds are only available in the event of installation- or maintenance-related faults attributable to Watt Chargers Ltd.
Cancellation: Customers may cancel installations or maintenance work without penalty if notice is given at least 7 days before the scheduled date. For larger or multi-site projects or long-term maintenance contracts, the cancellation window may vary and will be outlined in the service agreement.
Deposits and Employee Work-Based Deductions: Where a deposit has been paid and the customer requests a cancellation or termination after work has commenced, the refundable portion of the deposit will be reduced based on the number of hours worked by Watt Chargers Ltd employees up to that point. This includes time spent on-site, in preparation, travel, administrative duties, and any related tasks performed in connection with the service. A breakdown of hours worked will be made available upon request.
5. Warranty and Maintenance
Watt Chargers Ltd provides a standard 3-year warranty for installation services covering defects in workmanship.
Maintenance Contracts: Customers may enter into optional maintenance contracts for ongoing support and servicing. These contracts define the scope of routine and emergency services, response times, parts coverage, and limitations. Customers are responsible for maintaining access to the charger and providing a safe working environment for maintenance personnel.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs: Any repairs or maintenance required outside of the warranty period or without a valid maintenance contract will be chargeable to the customer at current rates. An estimate will be provided before work commences.
6. Data Collection
We collect personal data through contact forms, used exclusively to communicate with you about services. Your data is protected and will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
The website and its content, including trademarks, logos, and other materials, are the intellectual property of Watt Chargers Ltd.
8. Limitation of Liability
Watt Chargers Ltd’s liability for any damages shall be limited to the amount paid by you through the service or £100 if no payments were made. In no event shall the company be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by UK law, without regard to conflicts of law provisions.
